escripeScrip is a program that you join—at no cost to you—in order to have our local merchants give a percentage of their profits to our Hillsborough schools.  You pay the same retail prices; the merchant at its expense, shares some of its profits with our schools.

Here's how you can help raise the most money for our Hillsborough schools:

  • Sign up for eScrip (ask relatives/neighbors/friends to sign up, too!)
  • Keep your eScrip account up-to-date (invalid/outdated cards raise $0.00)
  • Sign up for an eScrip Visa card (earns 2% of donations wherever you shop)
  • Always use the eScrip Online Shopping Mall (more merchants, higher percentages for donations)

Last year we earned $38,762 for our schools from eScrip.  In contrast, the Amador Valley Booster Club (Pleasanton Unified School District) earned almost $160,000.  Please sign up ; ask relatives, friends, and neighbors to sign up; check/register your cards ; and if you ever shop online, please use the eScrip Online Shopping Mall.

How can I find out much I have earned for our schools via eScrip?

Monthly statements are available online by accessing “My eScrip”:

  1. Click here to log in to my escrip .
  2. Type your eScrip email address, phone number, or a card you registered with eScrip.  Click Enter.
  3. Click on “My eScrip” and/or type your password.  If you forgot your password, click here.
  4. Click on “View my monthly purchase reports.”

I use my credit/debit card a lot; why are my eScrip earnings so low?

The more cards you register, the more money you usually generate for our schools.  Do you have a grocery card and several credit/debit cards registered?  The most common cause of a low monthly statement is invalid credit/debit cards.  Each time you receive a replacement card in your mailbox (e.g., after you report a lost/stolen card), you need to fix that card number in eScrip.  Go to My eScrip to update (fix) your registered cards.  You can generate additional donations by registering for an eScrip Visa Card, or by shopping via the eScrip Online Mall.

What is the eScrip Online Mall?

When you buy products via the eScrip Online Mall, our Hillsborough schools will earn up to 16% from 1000+ name brand merchants:

  • Shop from the same websites you know and trust.
  • Shop ANONYMOUSLY.
  • eScrip registration is NOT required (if friends/relatives who aren't registered with eScrip shop via the Mall, the merchants will STILL donate to our Hillsborough schools!).
  • Pay exactly the same prices as you normally do.

Please register ALL cards you use frequently.  eScrip supports these cards:

  • Debit/Credit Cards:  Macy’s, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, Debit/ATM Cards
  • Grocery Club Cards:  Safeway, Draeger's, Pavilions, Vons, Genuardi’s, PW, Adams

I heard that credit/debit cards expire in eScrip, is this true?

Yes.  Each time you receive a replacement card in your mailbox (e.g., after you report a lost/stolen card), you need to fix that card number in eScrip.  See the steps below to update (fix) your registered cards.

How can I add my Safeway/grocery card?

NOTE:  For Safeway, if you use your phone number and don’t know your card number, call 1-877-723-3929 and ask them for your Safeway card number.

  1. Call 1-800-400-7878, press 1.  Ask them to add your Safeway number. 
  2. Next, call 1-800-700-5655 to add your other credit/debit cards or your Macy’s card to your eScrip account. (Tell them you just added your Safeway number, and you’d like to update your other numbers, too.)

How can I add my Macy’s card?

  1. Call 1-800-254-5404, press 2, then ask them to add your Macy’s card.  Ask them to also add/update your other credit/debit cards and Safeway card (call 1-877-732-3929 if you don’t know your Safeway card number).  

I saw a recycling stand just inside the front door of Mollie Stone’s in Burlingame.  What is it for?

If you recycle your iPod, laptop, cell phone, or inkjet cartridge at Mollie Stone’s in Burlingame, they’ll donate the recycling proceeds to our Hillsborough schools…for free!  Our schools receive money for each old cell phone, laptop, iPOD, and inkjet cartridge that is recycled.  Mollie Stone’s in Burlingame graciously coordinates this for us!  Simply put your old cell phones, iPODs, and inkjet cartridges in the stand located just inside the store. Give your old laptop to Manager Mark Luchessi.  (Note: Your old laptop MUST be able to boot up.)  Please thank Mollie Stone’s, especially Manager Mark Luchessi, for their continuous support of our schools!

What if I forgot my eScrip password?

If you can’t remember it, click on "Forgot My Password" (which emails your password to the email address of your eScrip account), OR email eScrip Customer Service, OR call eScrip Customer Service at 1-800-700-5655. If that’s a hassle or takes too long, you can make all changes with the paper form; simply fill out the paper form, and FAX (if possible) the completed form to 1-530-268-4843, or turn in the form to your school office.  (It takes 2 days to register via Fax/office, and several weeks to register forms that are sent via US Mail.)

Who can sign up for eScrip?

eScrip is a national program, so ALL Hillsborough families, neighbors, relatives and friends (in the U.S.) may join eScrip.  Please ask everyone you know to sign up for eScrip to help our Hillsborough schools! 

How do I (or my neighbors/relatives/friends) sign up for eScrip?

Here are the steps. (You can cut/paste these steps into an email for your neighbors/relatives/friends.)


Online:

  1. Click here for the link to register online.
  2. Type Hillsborough Schools Foundation, then click Search.
  3. Click on the Hillsborough Schools Foundation link, then click Next.
  4. Type in the mandatory fields.  (Note:  You can remove your email address later, if you want.)
  5. Enter your grocery card(s) if you use them, then click Next.
  6. Enter your Visa/Debit card(s) that you use, then click Next.
  7. Enter your Macy’s card, if you have one, then click Next.
    Finish up, then remember to Sign Off when you’re done.

Paper Registration:

Which merchants support eScrip?

  • Whenever you shop online, please use the eScrip Online Shopping Mall.  More vendors participate online.  For example, if you go to Nordstrom at Hillsdale, they do not donate a percentage of your purchase; however, if you shop Nordstrom via the Online Shopping Mall, they donate up to 6% of your purchase.
