About the eScrip program

How much money do our Hillsborough schools receive from participating in eScrip?

Last year, we earned $38,762; in contrast, Amador Valley Boosters (Pleasanton) earned $159,980! eScrip is mostly a numbers game: we need everyone to sign up AND keep the credit/debit/grocery card information current. Two other things make a big difference, too:
• use the eScrip Online Shopping Mall for ALL all of your home and corporate web purchases (including trip reservations)
• get an eScrip Visa card (earns 2% in addition to merchant donations).
Please ask everyone you know to use the Online Mall for home or corporate purchases – they don’t need to join eScrip to help us earn money via the Mall. Click here for details.

Can relatives, neighbors, and friends sign up for eScrip?

eScrip is a national program, so ALL Hillsborough families, neighbors, relatives and friends (in the U.S.) may join eScrip. Please ask everyone you know to sign up for eScrip to help our Hillsborough schools! Also, ANYONE can shop/make travel reservations on the web AND EARN MONEY FOR OUR SCHOOLS – click here for details!

Which merchants support eScrip?

• For a list of local merchants, click here.
• If you ever shop online, please use the eScrip Online Shopping Mall. More vendors participate online. For example, if you go to Nordstrom at Hillsdale, they do not donate a percentage of your purchase; however, if you shop Nordstrom via the Online Shopping Mall, they donate up to 6% of your purchase. You must have an eScrip account (and log in) for your eScrip Online Shopping Mall purchases to generate donations for our schools.

I heard that credit/debit cards expire in eScrip, is this true?

Yes. Throughout the year, each time you receive a replacement card in your mailbox (i.e., if the number of the card changes due to a lost/stolen credit/debit/grocery card), please fix that card number in eScrip. Expiration date changes DO NOT require changes in eScrip.

How can I find out much I have earned?

Monthly statements are available online by accessing “My eScrip”:

1. Click here to log in.
2. Type your eScrip email address, phone number, or a card you registered with eScrip. Click Enter.
3. Click on “My eScrip” and/or type your password.
   
4. Click on “View my monthly purchase reports.”

I use my credit/debit card a lot; why are my eScrip earnings so low?

eScrip has several donation streams; this is how to make the most of them:

1. Sign up for an eScrip Visa card (earns 2% of donations wherever you shop, in addition to merchant donations)
2. Keep your eScrip account up-to-date (invalid/outdated cards raise $0.00). Throughout the year, each time you receive a replacement card in your mailbox (i.e., if the number of the card changes due to a lost/stolen credit/debit/grocery card), you need to fix that card number in eScrip. Expiration date changes don't require changes in eScrip.
3. Make EVERY online purchase (home or corporate; travel, too) via the eScrip Online Shopping Mall. Click here for details.
4. Register ALL cards you use.

Which credit/debit and grocery cards may I register?

Please register ALL cards you use frequently. eScrip supports these cards:

• Debit/Credit Cards: Macy’s, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, Debit/ATM Cards
• Grocery Club Cards: Safeway, Pavilions, Vons, Genuardi’s, PW, Adams

How can I check, add, or update (fix) credit and debit cards?

1. Click here to log in.
2. Type your eScrip email address, phone number, or a card you registered with eScrip. Click Enter.
3. Click on “My eScrip” and/or type your password.
   
4. Click on “Register credit and debit cards.”

How can I add my Safeway/grocery card?

NOTE: For Safeway, if you use your phone number and don’t know your card number,
call 1-877-723-3929 and ask them for your Safeway card number.

Call 1-800-400-7878, press 1. Ask them to add your Safeway number. Afterward, if you need to add any other credit/debit cards or your Macy’s card to your eScrip account, then call 1-800-700-5655, tell them you just added your Safeway number, and you’d like to update your other numbers, too.

How can I add my Macy’s card?

Call 1-800-254-5404, press 2, then ask them to add your Macy’s card. Ask them to also add/update your other credit/debit cards and Safeway card (call 1-877-732-3929 if you don’t know your Safeway card number).

How can I change my address or phone number in eScrip?

1. Click here to log in.
2. Type your eScrip email address, phone number, or a card you registered with eScrip. Click Enter.
3. Click on “My eScrip” and/or type your password.
   
4. Click on “Update my address and phone number.”

How can I change my email address in eScrip?

1. Click here to log in.
2. Type your eScrip email address, phone number, or a card you registered with eScrip. Click Enter.
3. Click on “My eScrip” and/or type your password.

What if I forgot my eScrip password?

If you can’t remember it, email eScrip Customer Service. If that’s a hassle or takes too long, you don’t need to log in; simply fill out the paper registration form (you can add/change anything via this form), and FAX (if possible) the completed form to 1-530-268-4843, or turn in the form to your school office. (It takes 2 days to register via Fax/office, and several weeks to register forms that are sent via US Mail.)
