Please join us on Sunday, June 3rd for the 19th Annual Hillsborough Fun Run! It's a great way to celebrate the end of a successful school year, and kick off the summer! The Fun Run will be held from 7am - 10am.

You may also register on race day (registration opens at 7am). All bibs will only be available on race day at WILL CALL.

7:30        Stretch/Warm-up
8:00        2K, 5K, 10K start on Eucalyptus Avenue
8:30        Pancakes and fruit
9:30        Awards ceremony

                  $30 - Early Bird Registration
                  $35 - Race Day Registration
                  registration fee includes athletic pack and breakfast

                  $5 - Pancake Breakfast only - for those not racing
                   Free - Under 2 years old

Awards and Results

The race is professionally timed and results will be available at www.onyourmarkevents.com after the race. All 2K runners will receive ribbons. For the 5K and 10K races, medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division.

  • Age Divisions - 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
  • The James H. Whittam Award will be presented to a 10K first place boy and girl finisher; only students or graduates of Hillsborough public schools are eligible.

Course Location/Parking/Overview

The event begins at 545 Eucalyptus Avenue in front of North Hillsborough Elementary School map.  Please park on the blacktop at Crocker Middle School at 2600 Ralston Avenue map.  Carpooling is encouraged.

At North Hillsborough Elementary school, runners may register on race day, get their bibs, athletic packs, etc.  All races start on Eucalyptus Avenue (in front of the school): 5k and 10k begin at 8 a.m., 2k runners begin immediately afterward. Jokes, water, and Fun Run volunteers will be present on the routes to make runners laugh, help quench their thirst, and cheer them on. A First Aid Station will be located near the Finish Line.

Sorry - NO Skateboards, Bikes, Roller Skates, or Pets Allowed on the Fields, Tennis Courts, or Fun Run Courses.
Strollers and wheel chairs are welcome on all courses!

2K Course (Run/Walk) This course is fun, and encourages our youngest community members to participate. Warm-ups will be held on the North field. The run will finish at the Bridge School parking lot on New Place Road.

5K Course (Run/Walk) This course winds its way through the beautiful tree-lined streets of North Hillsborough.

10K Challenge Course (Run) This course offers a more challenging race. It begins along the 5K Course, continuing right at the 3 mile marker for a partial loop before ascending up New Place Drive at the 5 mile marker. Once runners have reached the top, they have a fast descent down to the finish line.

Volunteer Opportunities

Please join us! To keep the Fun Run successful and FUN, many parents, students, and community members are needed to help with registration, handing out drawstring bags, putting up signs, guiding and cheering on race participants, etc. No experience is necessary!
