New Ventures
Formed in 2008–2009 as part of the HSF Strategic Plan, HSF New Ventures' mission is to seed and grow new business ventures that are low on volunteer time, sustainable, and can be a major contributor to the HSF annual budget within five years. We are proud of our recent new ventures:
HSFShopping.com – The Hillsborough Schools Foundation created an "amazon-like" model to
raise funds for our schools: online shopping links that give a
percentage of sales to HSF - up to 10% on everything you buy! You pay
the same prices - the merchants donate up to 10% to our schools. It's entirely
anonymous!
www.hillsboroughtogether.com – Our own online community: connect with friends, tap into community knowledge, keep abreast of local news, and utilizing the sites advertising potential.
www.hsfgarage.com – Our own online thrift venture: donate clean, good-quality, high-end clothing, tickets to sports games, museums or other events, and vacation home rentals.
