President's Message

Dear Hillsborough Friends,

We are proud to be part of a community that is committed to the education and future of our children. In 2008–2009 the Hillsborough Schools Foundation (HSF) pledged $3 million to the school district. We ful filled that promise with your support, maintaining exceptional programs and small class sizes during a significant local and global financial crisis. We are committed to continuing this promise, and with your support, we can do it. Thank you.

HSF has strategically planned and implemented goals to increase efficiency and become a self-sustaining foundation through three fundraising vehicles: Annual Giving, Events, and New Ventures. The economy will continue to pose a challenge this coming year and our schools will once again need your full support. We believe our future depends on the legacy that exceptional education offers our children. Please help us PAVE the way to our children’s future success by participating in four important ways:

Pledge on November 3rd: HSF’s Annual Giving Campaign raises over 80% of the dollars needed to bridge the gap between inadequate government funding and the quality of education we expect in Hillsborough. Our children count on your financial commitment.

Attend HSF Events: Let’s enjoy community events with friends and neighbors as we raise funds for our schools. Events are more fun when you are there.

Volunteer: Join the ranks of those who support HSF by volunteering your valuable time. We guarantee rewarding experiences, building lifelong friendships, and having fun.

Enroll and get online: Sign up to be part of eScrip, Hillsborough Together, and HSF Garage, new ventures designed to sustain our future.

We hope you find the new calendar format useful throughout the coming year. Inside, you will find information about HSF, the school district, the Town of Hillsborough, and community events. Working together we can make a difference in the lives of our children.
